Lightweight Paddles --this includes the balsa ultralites, balsa blades -- paddles in the l6 -18 ounce range ( as well as some that are a little heavier...)
The ultralite is really a nice looking paddle. It has a nice strength to weight ratio, isn't as light as the balsa paddle -- maybe an ounce or two heavier. The blade is laminated cedar with red maple bandings (wrapping the blade, protecting all end grain) and a phenolic/walnut laminate tip (tough as well as nice looking). 19 -20 ounces, and heavier with wider blade (9.5-10"). I can lighten this up a little by mixing in some balsa in the blade -- it adds $7 to the cost -- not reflected in price -- just email me or put it in notes when ordering, and I will adjust.
